Day 1
On Location in Wallan and Seymour with Kids First Australia
This week we were on location in Wallan and Seymour with Kids First Australia, filming a series of videos to support an important message for local families.
From 2026, four year old Kindergarten will officially become Pre Prep, with weekly hours increasing from 15 to 20 under reforms introduced by the Victorian State Government.
More hours. Stronger foundations. Better prepared children.
Our first day focused on capturing professional talking head videos to clearly explain what these changes mean for families across the Mitchell Shire. These videos will be used across promotional and sponsored media to ensure families in Wallan and Seymour feel informed, confident and supported as these reforms roll out.
A big thank you to Marta and the team at Kids First Australia for their collaboration and support in bringing this important message to life.
Day 2
On day two, we returned to capture the heart of Kinder life through B roll, photography and drone footage. Kinders are always such a joy to film. Much of the day was about identifying those key moments, pressing record and allowing play to unfold naturally. There is something powerful about simply observing children immersed in discovery, collaboration and creativity.
The Kids First kinders are a visual delight. From thoughtfully curated activities and rich learning experiences to beautiful resources and inviting outdoor spaces, every corner offered something worth capturing. These environments are warm, purposeful and designed to nurture curious young minds.
That is a wrap on filming. Now it is back to the studio to carefully shape the footage into something meaningful and impactful for families.
A heartfelt thank you to Marta, Pranali and all the educators who supported us across both days. It was a pleasure to work alongside such dedicated professionals. It is clear that children in the Mitchell Shire are in very good hands.
