Helping Kids First Australia share the message about free kinder

Understanding kindergarten options is an important step for families preparing for their child’s early learning journey. When changes introduce new opportunities, clear and accessible information can help parents understand what is available and how to take the next step.
We worked with Marta and the team at Kids First Australia to create a coordinated campaign communicating changes to free kindergarten for three and four-year-olds in the Mitchell Shire community.
Making the information accessible to families
The project supported an initiative to raise awareness of kindergarten opportunities across Mitchell Shire, including Wallan and Seymour.
With kindergarten participation identified as a challenge in the community, the campaign was an opportunity to reach families whose children might otherwise miss out. The focus was on helping parents understand the changes and encouraging them to explore kindergarten for their child.
One video, multiple ways to reach parents
We created a video for social media to communicate the initiative, then produced shorter cuts for paid social media advertising.
These versions gave the team different ways to share the message and reach local families, while keeping the information consistent across the campaign.
Capturing more from the filming day
While we were onsite filming, we also captured photography for the campaign.
This is one of School Presence’s points of difference. By planning photography alongside video, we help clients make more of their time with us and build a collection of imagery that supports their wider marketing.
For Kids First Australia, this meant having complementary photos and video to help communicate the initiative across different formats.
Bringing the message into parents’ hands
Alongside the video and photography, we designed a double-sided information flyer to help parents understand the kindergarten changes.
The flyer provided a practical resource families could take home and refer to, supporting the social media campaign with information they could read at their own pace.
Together, the video, advertising cuts, photography and flyer created several opportunities for families to encounter and understand the message.
A meaningful project with a welcoming team
We thoroughly enjoyed working with Marta and the team at Kids First Australia on an initiative with a clear community purpose.
Helping families understand their kindergarten options can open the door to valuable early learning experiences. It was a privilege to support the team in sharing that information with the Mitchell Shire community.
