Bringing St Roch’s Primary School’s Story to Life

A school website should help prospective families understand its people, its community and the opportunities their child will experience as they grow.
That was the focus of our partnership with St Roch’s Primary School in Glen Iris, which began in March 2025 with Principal Angie Mastoras and Deputy Principal Nadine Bolton.
Over more than 18 months, we worked closely with the school to create a new website, promotional video and coordinated marketing materials that reflect the warmth and vibrancy of its community.
Starting with a conversation
Our first meeting was an opportunity to understand the school’s marketing needs, explore the activities already underway and identify where we could make the greatest difference.
A new website became a central priority. As an early point of contact for prospective families, it needed to give parents a meaningful picture of life at St Roch’s and help them understand what makes the school special.
Alongside the website, the project included a school promotional video, flyers and real estate boards, creating a consistent visual identity across the school’s marketing.
Capturing the experiences that tell the story
We began by photographing the school concert, capturing the energy, creativity and community spirit of St Roch’s.
Our work then took us beyond the school gates, joining the Year 6 students on their Canberra camp and the Year 4 students on their Sovereign Hill camp.
These experiences helped us capture a fuller picture of school life: the opportunities, friendships, independence and learning that develop throughout a child’s primary school years.
By spending time with students and staff in different settings, we built a collection of authentic imagery that could bring the school’s story to life across its website and marketing materials.
Showing families the full primary school journey
An important part of the website was showcasing each year level and helping families see the journey from Prep through to Year 6.
In Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, some independent schools offer entry points during Years 4 to 6. This makes it valuable for primary schools to communicate the opportunities available in the senior years and the benefits of completing the full primary school journey.
For St Roch’s, this meant showing prospective and current families what children have to look forward to as they grow, including camps, leadership opportunities and experiences that build confidence and independence.
The website gives families a window into this journey, helping them picture their child’s future at St Roch’s.
A consistent presence across every touchpoint
The website, promotional video, flyers and real estate boards were developed to work together.
Consistent branding and messaging help families recognise the school and build familiarity as they encounter it in different places, whether they are browsing online, watching the video or taking home a flyer.
Together, these materials give St Roch’s a coordinated foundation for enrolment conversations for 2027 and beyond.
Continuing the journey together
The next stage of our partnership is an enrolment nurturing campaign, helping St Roch’s stay connected with prospective families after an enquiry or school tour.
Through a sequence of welcoming, informative emails, families will have further opportunities to discover the school’s learning, wellbeing, community and everyday experiences. The campaign will support parents as they explore their options and move towards an enrolment decision.
Working with School Presence is a long-term partnership. As a school’s needs evolve, we continue working alongside its leadership team to strengthen its marketing and support the enrolment journey.
For St Roch’s, the new website and coordinated marketing materials are an important foundation. The next step is to build on that visibility and create stronger connections with future families.
A partnership we’re proud of
Thank you to Angie, Nadine and the St Roch’s community for welcoming us into school life and trusting us to help tell your story.
From the school concert to camps in Canberra and Sovereign Hill, it has been a privilege to capture the experiences that make St Roch’s special. We look forward to continuing the journey together.
