What makes an early learning centre stand out to prospective families? Understanding the answer means looking closely at what the centre offers, what parents value and how families experience the journey from their first enquiry through to enrolment.

School Presence has partnered with King David School Early Learning Centre to review its marketing, positioning and enrolment journey. The project brings together research, data and parent insights to identify opportunities and shape practical recommendations.

Understanding the ELC experience

As part of our review, we spent time with Marina, Director of the ELC, walking through the centre, experiencing the environment and exploring the program features that make it different.

Spending time on site helps us connect the centre’s marketing with the everyday experience of children and families. It also gives us an opportunity to identify strengths that could be communicated more clearly to prospective parents.

Reviewing the journey from enquiry to enrolment

Every interaction contributes to a family’s impression of an early learning centre. Our review considers how those interactions work together and where the journey could be strengthened.

We’re exploring questions such as:

  • Are the right messages reaching prospective families?

  • Does the branding and messaging reflect what parents value?

  • Are the ELC’s points of difference clear and meaningful?

  • How effectively does the enquiry process support families as they consider their options?

  • Where could the process be clearer, more helpful or more consistent?

The aim is to help families understand the ELC’s value and feel informed and supported as they take their next steps.

Building recommendations around evidence

Our recommendations are being shaped by research, data, parent insights and the experience families have when considering the ELC.

By examining these sources together, we can assess how closely the current marketing aligns with parent priorities, identify gaps and recognise opportunities to communicate the centre’s strengths.

This gives the ELC a clear foundation for deciding where to focus its marketing efforts.

Taking a proactive approach to enrolment marketing

Proactive marketing starts with understanding your community. It involves listening to families, reviewing their experience and using the findings to guide decisions.

Our work with King David School Early Learning Centre is focused on building that foundation: a strategy that connects what the ELC does well with what prospective families need to understand.
